One of the most important objectives of European policy is the transition to a green economy achieved through the various instruments of European funding. The main focus of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan (NRSP) of the Republic of Bulgaria is the decarbonisation and climate neutrality of cities. Energy efficiency (EE) policy is a priority of national and European energy policy and global climate change policy. The process of moving towards a low-emission energy sector requires increasing energy efficiency, increasing the use of renewable energy, improving energy management and developing energy infrastructure. An important element for increasing energy efficiency is the renovation of the building stock and the improvement of the energy performance of buildings.
Tucai was founded in 1963 in Barcelona, Spain, as a plant for the production of flexible connections for the automotive industry. Over the years, the company has grown rapidly and expanded its production of flexible links into various economic sectors. Thus, it occupies a large market share in the production of this type of products. The company, highly, relies on the quality and warranty of the manufactured products and holds global certifications ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018

Tucai Bulgaria has successfully launched the implementation of a project with European funding under the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan (NRSP), procedure – BG-RRP-4.021-Support for energy renovation of buildings in the production, trade and services sectors. The subject of the project is the implementation of ESM (Energy Saving Measures) for the building stock of the enterprise. As a result of the project, the energy performance of the production buildings will be improved through the implementation of integrated energy saving measures:
– Thermal insulation of external walls;
– Roof insulation;
– Replacement of windows and doors with PVC windows and doors;
– Replacement of old heating appliances with new inverter units;
The direct effect of the project is to reduce energy costs:
-Energy consumption savings (kWh/year) 436 523,69;
-Saving of primary non-renewable energy (kWh/year) 1 004 004,48;
-Savings in CO2 emissions (t/year) 212,15;
-Primary renewable energy savings (kWh/year) 87 304,74;
-Percentage of energy savings per year of primary non-renewable energy (%) 51,37 ;
The total cost of the project is 510 011 BGN, of which 229 504 BGN are grants under the Recovery and Sustainability Mechanism.
